Medical Assistant Positions Front and Back Office
Benefits Offered: Dental, Life, Medical, Vision
Employment Type: Full-Time
Why Work Here?
“If you became a medical assistant to make a difference, our medical assistants learn new skills and have increased responsibility.”
Our doctor does not employ nurse practitioners or physician assistants. He believes that patients come to the doctor to see the doctor, so he sees each patient for each office visit, from initial consultation to procedures and follow up visits. He also performs the ultrasound exams himself. The medical assistants serve a vital role in assisting the physician.
We will be adding front and back office medical assistants, who are caring, compassionate, and competent. (The 3 C’s)
The front office medial assistant is a practice representative. A warm and inviting demeanor is required, to make patients should feel welcome and comfortable. Proper phone etiquette is required, especially during times of heavy phone traffic. In addition, the usual front office duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, posting payment, verifying insurance, and inputting patient information such as demographics into the EMR will be expected.
Back office medical assistants will be responsible for maintaining and stocking the exam and procedure rooms, taking vital signs, sterilizing instruments, inputting information while physician examines patients, and even get to assist with interesting procedures.
Patients are often anxious especially when presenting for initial evaluation, and before procedures. You will become knowledgeable with regard to circulation and venous disease, and armed with this information, you will be able to alleviate their anxiety by explaining the benefits of treating their abnormal veins.
Starting salary will be commensurate with knowledge, skill, and experience, with the opportunity for advancement.
